Well it's funny because I see now that I'm not the only one doing coral reefs. I was planning on talking about the affects of Global Warming and Coral Reefs and explaining a lot about coral reefs in general. I'm kind of an aquarium nerd, I have a saltwater aquarium with coral and other marine invertebrates and what not and I work at a saltwater fish store where we work a lot with marine inverts so it's something I'm well versed in but I don't want to overlap though a lot with anyone else so I'm wondering if it would be a good idea if I shifted my topic to another aspect of marine bio-diversity being affected by global warming, I mean I'm flexible, at this point in the process I could shift gears a little and only cover a little on coral reefs. So, what does everyone think? I know there are many faucets to coral reef destruction because coral reefs are so sensitive to everything from run-off and polluted rivers to over-harvesting to being damaged by tourists so I guess there might be some overlap between our papers, but some common themes and info maybe. I don't know, what does everyone think?
I've responded to this here, Josh; I for one am excited that we'll all be learning twice as much about coral reefs as we thought. :-)
Posted by: Clancy at October 22, 2004 03:04 PMHey Josh. Sorry this reply is a little late. I haven't been able to check the weblog lately. But yeah, that's quite surprising that we're doing the same topic for our research paper! I hardly expected anyone else to choose this. But maybe you could email me (shelly_bucky@hotmail.com), and maybe tell me what the main focus is for your paper. If you have a problem with doing the same thing, that's okay. I'm sure I'll have no problems with working around you. So just get back to me okay?
