interesting...?

I was not old enough to vote in this election, nor wouold I consider my opinion a god opinion because i have no idea what is going on when it comes to politics. I have learned more in the past two months about politics than I have in my whole school career. I do however know many people who voted for Bush and all of them were able to give me clear reasons for their choosing to vote for him. The one person that I know of that was voting for Kerry could only tell me that they were voting for him because they didn't want a draft if Bush was reelected. Was there actual evidence that Bush was going to bring back the draft? None that I found that were true.
I think that some really strong points that were made in this letter had to do with the emotions "sad American" was expressing. I liked that she was able to express her values in the letter, such as her believing in God and not appreciating the rude remarks expressed from people. I also give her credit for standing up for Bush in that he actually had values and plans for this world. Yes, maybe he didn't have the best, but they are HIS values. If people are mature enough they wouldn't make snood remarks about ones opinions. Yes, his opinions mattered more because he was running for President of the U.S. but that doesn't make it right. She didn't put Kerry down in her letter, she just expressed comments that have been plastered in the news for months. I also agree with where she stands in postion involving the taxes. It is just like she said, "the rich were persude as being evil." Most worked hard for their earnings and deserve every bit they get. I am like her and I want to work hard and have something to show for it when I am older. Not that money means everything, but it shows some. She believed in many things Kerry stood for like, Standing up for the little guy, but he didn't stand by his values enough to make it clear. I also liked her opinion about Kerry being married into money, and that he was somewhat a hipocrit on the taxes stand. Bush was really slammed throughout this election. It is hard to hear anyone receive comments such as those in the letter. "Bush getting off to pictures of children in Iraq!!!!" THAT IS HORRIBLE!! Just absolutley revolting and I cannot believe someone had the desency to project that opinion in public? I do agree with her that Kerry was harsh towards those that have different beliefs. Gays, for example. They don't deserve any less gratitude as anyone else. Also I have always wondered what Kerry would have done if he was in Bush's shoes after the 9/11 incident. Does he have any idea what that would be like??!!?? He should not put Bush down so badly since he was not the one making decisions. Yes, we all have our opinions and ideas of our own, but we were not there to make the decision. We do not know what it feels like to be under pressure like that. Can anyone imagine this?? That is all for now. Thanks for listening.....and reading:)
