Sad America

Hey everyone. I read sad america and I found I agreed with a lot of what she said. I voted for Bush because of a lot of the same reason she did. I have a lot of views that agree with the democrat party. Like the Sad America author, I agree that gays/lesbians have the right to be married. I also agree that Rich people aren't evil. She states in this article "I know two millionaires personally. Both are entrepreneurs who took big risks and worked their backsides off for years to get were they are. Given that Kerry is married to a billionaire, this seemed expecially hypocritical". I completely agree with this statement. I have friends who's parents have taken big risks as entrepreneurs to become very sucessful finacially. So I guess Bush allows these rich people to keep more of their earned money than Kerry would have. I think this is a good thing, being that most of them worked hard for it. I also strongly agree with where she talks about how some Kerry voters were "imature, needlesly vulgar and obnoxious". This turned me off towards voting for Kerry. To be honest, I wasn't really sure who I was going to vote for till pretty much the day of the election. I was kind of waiting for the democrat party to give me a really good reason to vote for them because I found a lot of my beliefs where the same as that of the democrat party. Like the author of this article, I found no good reason to vote for Kerry. I found that voting for Bush allowed me to know we'd have a president who had values and knew where he stood on issues. So yeah I guess I am in a lot of agreement with the content of this article.
