Hey everyone! Wow! Can you believe how fast this semester went? Although this was technically my first real college semester, I attended the U of M full-time last year for the PSEO program so in reality it was my third semester. However, living on campus this semester was a whole new experience. I think that I have changed more than ever this year from being at the U of M. I have noticed that I could care less about the high school drama type things, and I feel a lot more grown up (when really I'm just one year older). It is interesting to see the way you grow in every part of your life just by becoming a little more independent and disciplined by being in college. Although I feel I won't necessarily remember how media use affects our society or the technical names for each muscle group in my body, I have learned how to be a better person. College teaches you life long skills such as how to communicate in a professional arena, how to market yourself to future employers, how to utilize your personal skills to acquire a job... etc. I feel living in the dorm has taught me independence but on the other hand, taught me to appreciate all that my family has done for me over the past 18 years. I must say, nothing beats a home cooked meal that you can eat at WHATEVER time you want! hehe! Well... thanks for a great class, I will be thinking of you all and hope to run into you again on this giant campus! Happy Holidays and hope everyone's year is successful in many ways! ~Courtney
