My research topic is the use of Chinese herbal medicine in dietary supplements. My purpose is to imform the audience the risks that they may carry of the dietary supplements. The more I work on it, the more I feel uncomfortable with it.
It's mainly because the feasible solutions that I need to provide in the research. My orginal traget audiences are the consumers of dietary supplements and health magezine readers. Since a solution is required, I came up with the idea that government and federal association involve to pass out this information by different types of medias. The question is, since my solutions is towards to the government, should I change my audiences to be the government staffs? If I just want to provided the inforamtion to my orginally audiences, what would be better solutions?
I am just confused. Any help from you guys will be great. I'll be apprecited. Thanks.
Hi Jing,
I like the topic you chose but you sound a little bite worried. I think if your audience is the Chinese government it will be more specific than health magazine readers. I also had a problem choosing my audience. I think the best thing to do is, make a research for both of your audience and then pick which ever have the most source.

Hi Jing,
I am also interested in your topic of chinese medicine. First thing you may want to consider, would be a quick review of alternative medicine as opposed to conventional medicine. chinese herbal medicine; a part of alternative medicine, has not undergone extensive research studies. For example, herbal medicine's dosages and potencies are not precise, therefore, it is very difficult to be relied on.
Second, I believe if you review few of Journals of medicine, it will provide you some further well-studied health information.
Good luck on your search--Sohaila

Posted by: Cleanse at April 20, 2009 4:13 PMWell, although I agree that having some form of regulation might generally be a good idea, I do not necessarily trust the government nor FDA. I think that they may outlaw a lot of beneficial all-natural remedies for the fact that they may slowly alleviate the need for concocted laboratory created medicine.. once news got out. Pharmacy & government are closer tied than most would like to believe.
