Sailing - Joyce's view
Okay, here’s Joyce’s version of the sailing ride: Very nice guys let us ride on the sailboat. I figured it would be like sailing on lake Calhoun. The wind, however, was stronger than these guys who sail all the time said it has ever been. So once we left the Marina and got out into the ocean the waves were unbelievable. It was like being on the high seas with waves, some of which washed over me on the boat. Rebecca is silent, putting her head down thinking wondering if she will get to Brandeis. With each monster wave I am holding onto Ed’s legs with a stronger and stronger grip . “Joyce, let go of my leg he requests about 10 times(he is given the job of steering the boat). I found something else to hang onto. The whole time Ed has this look of absolute glee on his face as he is so happy on this boat with these gigantic waves sailing into the sunset. With each huge wave Emily is screaming “Wheee, encore, encore. I finally calmed down and enjoyed the ride once I realized we couldn’t fall into the ocean.
