Nick Wertzberger and I completed the extra credit for homework 2. Code was uploaded to the pioneer laptop and configured to run for the machine. Swivel speed and distance from obstacles had to be modified several times so that the robot would not spin too fast or get too close to an object before turning. It's hard to imagine alternative solutions to the problems of hunger without a major change in our capitalist culture.  In my opinion, solving the problem of hunger would require a holistic approach to all poverty related issues.    I think we would need to fundamentally change our food culture in order to address hunger.  We, as a culture, are far too busy.  Fast foods, crappy pre-packaged foods and other convenience foods are popular because people don't ... read more

The total cost of the M-term Field Study Trip to Greece and Cyprus varies between students on a modest, average, and above average budget. Tuition for the course is $3,500. Because he died of a heart attack (and longer-term heart disease), his death at the young age of 52 has been a huge motivator for me to run regularly.
