MDG Presentation Comments (from Adam's Architecture Blog)

This blog is an entry for both of the final two blog prompts.

Both of the millenium development goal research projects that I will be discussing in this blog were very well presented and well organized. I was impressed with most of the presentations that I witnessed the past couple of weeks. Not only did the groups provide well thought out information, they also did so in manner that kept the attention and respect of the on-lookers. I learned much ...

What I will take away from this class (from S08: GWSS 3306 Pop Culture Women)

This class was an interesting take on Pop Culture-definitely not the avenues I would have chosen, but that's good because I learned a little. Mostly what I will take from this class is a newfound appreciation for graphic/comic novels. I read Fun Home for the group project and loved it! I definitely want to read more of Alison Bechdel and of other graphic novelists/comics like her. What I liked about Fun Home was that it told a novel-esque ...

Progress (from EGAD)

Here's a very hopeful sign: after yesterday's special election, in which Democrat Travis Childers picked up a supposedly safe Republican House seat (it voted 62% for Bush in 2004), for the first time since 1995 there are now fewer than 200 Republicans in the House of Representatives. It's increasingly looking like Bush has run the Republican party and the Conservative brand so firmly into the ground, that we really are looking at a once-in-a-generation political realignment taking place.

Let the House-cleaning continue! ...
