Through out the many lectures and many new concepts that have been brought to mind over this semester it is hard to say which things will live out in the course of long term memory, but with almost visionary certainty I say the concept of different intelligences was the most interesting, especially as presented in the Triarchic model. In the model three types of intelligence are brought to light. Analytical intelligence is the ability to reason logically, which is the intelligence we use in school work. Practical intelligence is the intelligence to solve real world problems, which is useful in day to day life and helps socialization. Last is Creative intelligence which is creativity and is responsible for anything interesting in the world. It is truly fascinating to look at these different types of intelligence and look at the people in the world and see people who are extraordinarily gifted in one of them but wear the dunce cap in another.
