Psychology and Beyond

big_five_chart.jpgOne of the things I believe that will still be with me in the next five years and beyond, is the Big 5 concept. After experiencing it and seeing it apply so well in our discussion sections it made me have faith in the things we learn in school. To know that maybe the things we learn will have some application in life, which then gives me hope to keep paying for classes. No, but seriously, the big 5 is very useful in life as it would act like a cheat sheet card for reading people and how you should go about to get along with them. For example, if we meet someone a bit higher on the neuroticism side, we would go out of our way to not do things that would upset them. Now having this new found knowledge, we should find ourselves having more success in knowing and getting along with people which is beneficial in our social and professional lives.
