Janie Chin and her boyfriend (shockingly, Asian American guy) totally make out in the pages of Greg Pak's "Warlock."

I thought the all-new Atom as an Asian American superhero was cool (see previous post), but it turns out that there are others out there! Jeff Yang wrote a pretty thorough and interesting article in SFGate.com about the variety of new Asian American superheroes and the history behind this race-volution.
Richard - I've been reading your blog for awhile. I would have e-mailed you but it is early and I cannot find a link. Speaking of Asian males do you have any books you can recommend? I head up a book club for a parenting group of Korean adoptive families. We have read a lot of books from a female perspective, both adoptee and not, but would love to hear from Asian males. Many of us have adopted boys. Thanks in advance if you can help me. -- Judi

thanks for reading my blog. as for books on asian american men (or written from this perspective), a classic memoir is "turning japanese" by david mura. the novella "american knees" by shawn wong also is good (and soon to be a motion picture). from a korean american perspective, you might read "native speaker" by chang rae lee.

Thanks. Your Alvin post had me cracking up, although I'm sure you aren't laughing. - judi
