Former University hockey player arrested in connection with drug possesion

Nate Hagemo, a former gopher hockey player was arrested Saturday the 26th after police discovered syringes with what appeared to be the remains of heroin in his vehicle. Hagemo, 21, was a famed hockey player for the University of Minnesota before a shoulder injury that prevented him from going on in the sport. Hagemo was with a 39-year-old St. Paul man when he was arrested according to the Star Tribune
While the Star Tribune specifically referred to what the police found as a "syringes and a drug kit" the Minnesota Daily reported that police found "possible drug substances."
Hagemo was held for three days in county jail. Charges for possession of a controlled substance are pending the results of a drug test on the evidence.
