Man dies with plastic bag of drugs in throat

After being arrested for driving while intoxicated Wednesday, a man died before paramedics could remove a plastic bag full of drugs from his throat. Marcus Burrell, 38, was pronounced dead at North Memorial Medical Center. the Star Tribune reports the incident happening at 2:30 a.m.
Police suspect the bag contained crack cocaine.
Homicide and internal affairs will investigate the situation, as is standard procedure, according to WCCO.
