Police discover suburban pot-growing operation

Police seized 1,000 marijuana plants from the basement of a White Bear Lake home. A firefighter alerted police to unusual patterns of frost and two weeks later the pot was discovered.
The house was uninhabited, but tended to by its 27-year-old homeowner and his toddler son, according to the Star Tribune. The Pioneer Press reported that the infant was turned over to Children's Hospital.
