Source of the communication (purpose):
• Coming from writer, reporters, cameramen, ext., who are trying to give the general public the news.

User (needs, interests):
• Those who are interested in the goings on in the world.

Context:
• You can easily move to section your interested in and are provided with that areas headlines.

Organization of content:
• Well organized and has consistency in their navigation and layout.
• The overall page is cluttered with images, making it difficult to see organization within each page.
• Fox is function over form.
• Maps out your location so you know where you are within the site.

Graphic user interface:
Grid design:
• Grid isn’t used well for content in middle of page
• Overall page is divided up well
Usability:
• Simple to navigate through
• Can easily get to where you want
• The advertisements that are placed in the middle of the story are an unnecessary break
Style
• Menu works good but unattractive
• Poor choice in colors, blue is to bright
• Use to many graphics and pictures

• Changes in layout design which slows down your searching capability

• Lacks consistency in navigation between home page and other pages
• Home page has good table of contents where headlines are easily read
• For main articles they provide you with a paragraph of text on the homepage to draw you in. If you click on the link you get the rest.

Graphic user interface:
Grid design:
• The content is well organized within their grid scheme
• Overall page is divided up well
Usability:
• At the bottom of each article you are provided with the tools to save, print, and email article
• Search engine isn’t defaulted to their site
Style
• Colors are soft and easy on your eyes.
• Overall a clean, well organized look
• Needs more consistency in where the navigation is placed

• Those who are interested in the goings on in the world. They provide you with the option of reading the articles in many languages.

Context:
• To ways to browse from the home page allows for a quicker direct route or a more general search of the news.

Organization of content:
• Tabs provide a nice way to navigate through sections
• Tabs are always located in the same spot , never change in each section
• Change in color provides you with a visual cue that you are in a new page
• Home page serves as a table of contents providing you with the top headlines in each section.

Graphic user interface:
Grid design:
• The content is well organized within their grid scheme
• Overall page is divided up well
• Grid is basically the same in each section
Usability:
• At the bottom of each article you are provided with the tools to save, print, and email article
• Search engine isn’t defaulted to their site
• Quick link to low graphics version
• You can choose the kind of news you prefer if its more local to the UK or International

• Use simple colors and layout
• Overall a clean, well organized look
• Colors change for each section
