The 'fire" we saw last night was far away - in the sun! But it was vaguely reminiscent of a Thanksgiving past in downtown Minneapolis, when the closed Northwestern National Bank building went up in smoke...the sky was pink and red that night in 1982, and when we saw that sky from the window of a colleague's condo, we thought it was an amazing - if rather late -sunset. This year, last night at the downtown home of my dear friends, it was reassuring to know this little flash of red really was just a reflection of the sunset.
