Volunteer Blog #2
Since I have doing a book drive I do not really have a week to week update since much of the experience is the same. This weekend I was able to finally get in contact with fundraising managers with Half-Price Books. They are going to be kind enough to donate some books for the Children's Library. My current progress now is to keep track of who is donating and what they have donated so I can provide my volunteering supervisor with an inventory list.
Everything is moving along nicely. It was a lot harder finding people to donate then I thought it would because sometimes there is a lot of paper work and information that needs to be complied so that the books can be kept track of. In a way it surprises me how much charity has now turned into a type of business.
