Santorum on Public Schools

At a speech in Columbus, Ohio during his campaign for the Republican presidential nomination, Rick Santorum bashed the American public school system, a long with many other things.
The Los Angeles Times reports that Santorum, who home-schools his children, thinks that the American public school system is stuck in the era of the Industrial Revolution and "anachronistic".
Santorum is quotes as saying that the school system is stuck in the factory age and that, "back in the age of Henry Ford. You get what we give you. One color, two models. It wouldn't work for Henry Ford today, and it won't work for America today."
This is not the first time Santorum has said such disparaging things about the public school system says The New York Times.
Santorum also took time to talk about the President Obama's Christianity. "I'm just saying he's imposing his values on the church, and I think that's wrong," Said Santorum, adding that he did not believe Mr. Obama was less of a Christian for doing so, reports The Times.
The Obama campaign said the comments were "The lowest low in the Republican primary campaign."
Santorum has previously come underfire by charging tax payers for his children's education through a online charter school, reports The Times.
