Students outraged after noose was hung in campus library

A Univeristy of California-San Diego student admitted to hanging a noose Thursday at a library on campus.
The noose was found hanging at the Geisel Library around 10 p.m. on Thursday, NBC reported. The student connected to the crime was in custody on Friday.
Hanging a noose with intent to terrorize is a crime, reported CNN.
Students held protests on Friday after the discovery reported NBC and listened to the stories of students who have been hurt by recent racially-charged events.
The noose incident occurred two weeks after an off campus party mocked Black History Month CNN reported.
The student has been suspended, but it is unknown for how long CNN reported.
