Six dead in car crash in Isanti County

Six are dead after a head-on car accident early Sunday near Cambridge in Isanti County.
The accident occured at 2:40 a.m. on Hwy 95 when a Pontica Grand Am collided with a SUV reported WCCO.
The driver of the Pontiac is a 16-year-old girl from Isanti. She is hospitalized at Hennepin County Medical Center and is in critical condition reported the Star Tribune.
The other passengers included a 15-year-old girl, 16 and 17-year-old boys, and a 21-year-old man were all killed reported WCCO.
The SUV, a 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada, caught fire, severly burning the two passengers killed in the crash reported the Star Tribune.
The State Patrol said there was an odor of alcohol in the car the teenagers were driving reported WCCO. The driver of the car just recieved her license weeks earlier.
