A van was stolen in Minneapolis Thursday morning with a child inside, according to KARE11.
The vehicle, known to be a white Ford Windstar, was stolen at about 7:55 a.m. while parked in front of a home near the 3100 block of 4th Avenue South, KARE11 reported. Minutes later, the child was dropped off a few blocks down.
According to Pioneer Press, the vehicle may be labeled as "Cedar Transport," in which such text may read on the side of the car. Additionally, Pioneer Press reported that the driver had gone inside to get another child for transport when the vehicle was taken.
However, there is a disagreement between these two news organizations reports. Pioneer Press reported that the child is 7-years-old, and KARE11 reported that their early reports suggested the child was a 9-year-old autistic boy (Pioneer Press didn't address the child's mental condition).
Both reports state that police are still in search of the thief and the vehicle itself.
