not employers

Perhaps where I didn't work may offer some clues about what is happening, to someone who knows more than I do. When I completed training for computer programming (mainframe) I applied to MANY companies. I was offered employment by two: Ernst & Young and the Electric Company of Chicago, whatever it was called at the time.

I accepted the offer with the highest salary and I'm glad that I did; most of the people at EY were pleasant to work with and the position offered me many opportunities.
