Minnesota man dies in Iraq

A Minnesota National Gaurdsman died Thursday in Iraq.

First Sgt. Michael Charles Mettille of West St. Paul was reported to have died of natural causes while stationed at Camp Adder on his second tour of duty in Iraq. Although his death was “not caused by hostile action,? as written in a press release, his death is still under investigation.

He was 44 years old and served the Minnesota National Guard for more than 26 years.
