Dr. Don Berwick of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement told the Association of Health Care Journalists this past weekend:
"We run an industry with a 'get-it-wrong' rate of about 50%. The will to change health care does not lie within health care. Your (journalists') input may be greater than you think."
Berwick also said, "We are absolutely not the best health care system in the world. We only do more and spend more than any other country."
