Mary Lahammer, a veteran Capitol reporter, said many House members broke down crying during the emotional debate on whether to override Gov. Tim Pawlenty's veto of health care for the poorest of the poor, starting in 2011."I think it was the most emotional debate I've seen in more than a decade of closely covering the Capitol."

Crocodile tears for the surplus population
But you didn't mention that they failed to override the veto, thus eliminating any chance of healthcare for destitute childless adults.
Crocodile tears? I don't think so.
Mr. Pawlenty is apparently more interested in his national political prospects than in being a governor for all the people. Minnesotans don't take kindly to governors who screw up. And the failure to override can be laid squarely on the shoulders of the minority party because the vote was almost party line...
By the next election the problems with the governor's go-it-alone stance will be apparent. And the minority party may shrink even further as it has every election since Pawlenty has been governor.
As with the Obama election, eventually people will have enough of the no new taxes lies and hypocrisy. Especially when they open their next property tax bills.
