LA Times resveratrol story sobers red wine hype

It's very unusual to see two five-star story reviews posted on the same day on HealthNewsReview.org. (After more than 3 years, only 102 of the 823 stories reviewed have received top five-star scores.)

But the LA Times gets a top-rated score for its review of the evidence (or lack thereof) for resveratrol.

Earlier today, the site posted a top review of the Houston Chronicle heart CT scan piece.

But God gave us TV news to balance things out.

And so there's also today's lowly two-star review (perhaps generous even in that high a score) for an ABC Good Morning America piece on animal research into an injectable drug for weight loss.

What is it with the recent spate of hyped animal research stories? Please stop.
