Schwitzer Health News blog learns from Stephen Colbert

This little blog is now the most active out of nearly 8,000 blogs hosted by the University of Minnesota UThink system.

Even though this listing still shows me as the third most active, Stephen Colbert would probably be waving flags and dropping balloons and shouting, "I'm number one!"

That's because the #2 listing isn't actually a blog. It's a job listing and it's password protected. Hardly a blog by anyone's definition.

And the #1 listing is inactive, not having posted anything in almost 2 years.

So I'll borrow Colbert's bravado and proclaim: I'm number one.

Thanks for your support.

I'm contemplating moving this blog over to HealthNewsReview.org to consolidate my efforts. Stay tuned.

Good work Gary. I second the acknowledgment of #1 ranking.

My policy on comments

I'm adopting the policy of a blog I admire: “Comments are great; obnoxious comments get deleted. Deal." I also won’t post profanity, product pitches, or anything from anyone who doesn’t list what appears to be an actual e-mail address.
