Digital Modeling of the Appearance of Materials 11/20

Monday, November 20, 2006, 11:15 - 12:15, EE/CS 3-180
Presenter: Holly Rushmeier, Yale University

Ms. Rushmeier will present a brief survey of how modeling material appearance has evolved from modeling reflectance functions, to capturing spatially varying reflectance, and finally to current work in volumetric and temporal effects.
She will also present her recent work on modeling the internal structure of materials with three dimensional structure such as stone aggregates. For further information go to this site.
