Mar. 23 Deadline: Washington Center for Politics & Journalism
The Politics & Journalism Semester is a program of the Washington Center for Politics & Journalism. The Center brings 12 or 13 college student journalists, whose career goal is political reporting, to Washington each semester. Students learn about campaign, governance and interest group politics in twice-weekly seminars, featuring political consultants and operatives, elected and party officials, and national political journalists. They receive practical experience and exposure to national politics as reporting interns in major Washington news bureaus. Review the program details online. To apply, submit your application materials to room 110 Murphy Hall by our internal deadline of March 23. SJMC will then nominate candidates for the program.
