SJMC Alumni Mentor Program
SJMC juniors, seniors and graduate students are eligible to participate in the SJMC Alumni Mentor Program. Online application forms and further information will be available online the first day of fall semester, but you must attend one of the mandatory information sessions before you submit your application. The deadline to apply is Monday, September 28 at 4 p.m.
Students who attend the mentor information session should be prepared to answer the following questions during a "speed interview" with an SJMC Alumni Society Board member, which will take no more than 3 minutes.
1. Why are you interested & why would you be a good candidate for the mentor program?
2. What do you hope to get out of the mentor program?
3. Who do you think would be a good mentor for you?
Mentor Information Sessions will be offered by members of the SJMC Alumni Board at the following times:
Tuesday, September 15 - Noon-1 p.m.
Thursday, September 17 - 5-6 p.m.
Tuesday, September 22 - 3-4 p.m.
Thursday, September 24 - 10-11 a.m.
Friday, September 25 - 4-5 p.m.
All meetings will be held in the SJMC Conference Center (room 100 Murphy Hall), except the last meeting on September 25 which will be held in room 130 Murphy Hall.
