Usability Lab Assistant positions open
This is a part-time position, usually 8-20 hrs/week during the school year, but could be up to 40 hrs/week in the summer. Pay is $13.50/hour.
The Usability Laboratory Assistant position is responsible for independently supporting the Usability Services Laboratory to enable its use by stakeholders, for assisting Usability Services consultants in the use of the lab, and for assisting with other Usability Services tasks.
This is a part-time position, usually 8-20 hrs/week during the school year, but could be up to 40 hrs/week in the summer. Employees receive their work schedule on a weekly basis, one week in advance. Students are not asked to work during their class hours. Specific work hours will be assigned every Monday for the following Monday-Sunday. Pay is $13.50/hour.
-Currently enrolled and registered undergraduate student at the University of Minnesota.
-Willingness to work on a variable schedule outside of class hours.
-Willingness to work in multiple locations.
-Reliability and punctuality to be on the job and ready to work at appointed time.
-Computer and Internet experience with Microsoft Windows-based systems, including proficiency with MS Word, email, and Web browsers.
-Some familiarity with audio/video equipment.
-Attentiveness to detail and ability to carry out detailed procedures accurately.
-Strong oral and written communication skills.
-Ability and enthusiasm to learn to use new equipment and software quickly.
