Broadcast job opportunity: Photojournalist at KOLN/KGIN TV

KOLN/KGIN-TV is accepting applications for a full-time photojournalist in Lincoln, Neb.

Duties include, but are not limited to: Generating news stories from inception to completion by first available means to support multiple media; professionally following directions; and serving the community with strong, positive character and abilities, expecting to win every fact and every story every day. Photojournalists also are expected to apply aesthetic storytelling concepts including framing, composition, action, sequencing, filters, exposure, lighting, white balance, angle, tripods, and other basic tenets of effective, professional electronic photojournalism. The select candidate will collaborate and cooperate professionally, as assigned, on deadline.

Must have a media-related bachelor's degree with journalism experience, including shooting/editing/visual storytelling along with a strong ability to gather video/audio, edit and perform accurately and creatively under deadline pressure. Must maintain a permanent resident within 30 minutes of station and meet physical requirements of the position.

Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. A valid driver's license and good driving record are required.
