New minor: Fashion studies

The College of Design now offers a new minor in fashion studies, which provides students who have an interest in fashion the opportunity to gain knowledge about fashion product, theory and industry-specific practices. Fashion is a major global industry with a broad range of career opportunities from business and design to engineering and chemistry.

Note: Students majoring in apparel design and/or retail merchandising are not eligible to complete this minor.

To declare a fashion studies minor, students should call 624-1717 or stop by CDes Student Services in 12 McNeal Hall to schedule an appointment with Katrina Ginther Thompson. Click here for course requirements.
