The Jim Murray Memorial Foundation is seeking applicants for its scholarship program.

The foundation awards five $5,000 print journalism scholarships through a nationwide essay contest to students pursing careers in sports journalism.

Forms and information packets are available in 110 Murphy Hall or outside the Digital Media Studios in the basement of Murphy Hall. The deadline to apply is April 29.

Since August 2000, the Jim Murray Memorial Foundation has awarded 73 scholarships to honor its namesake's legacy.
