Spend the summer at NYU's Hyperlocal Newsroom Academy

At The Hyperlocal Newsroom Academy, students will learn new techniques and sharpen their skills with opportunities to have their best work published on NYTimes.com community news site under the guidance of NYU's journalism faculty.

Three-month graduate-level internships, for credit or non-credit, will be available on a competitive basis. Students can choose one or both six week summer course sessions (four credits each). They also are encouraged to attend The Hyperlocal Academy Weekend, featuring panels and workshops with major players in the emerging world of hyperlocal journalism.

There also will be opportunities to intern, assist, edit, report, shoot, write or learn multimedia skills from top reporters and editors, including New York Times journalists. Information about the graduate internships program and the application are available here.
