MMPA Summit & Expo April 28
The one-day seminar will include an editorial track featuring Al Tompkins of Poynter Institute's Al's Morning Meeting. The workshops in the editorial track will feature "The 10 Commandments of Video," "The 10 Laws of Interactive Storytelling" and "Tough Ethics Calls in a 24/7 World."
Other tracks include design, audience development and advertising/sales.
Historically, MMPA's Summit & Expo has offered fantastic opportunities for students to network with editors and learn about internship and job opportunities, says Kathleen Hansen, director of undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota School of Journalism and Mass Communication. She suggests students bring business cards and copies of their resumes to the conference.
The cost is $50 for students; early bird registration pricing ends March 15.
