International Television Journalists Visit University of Minnesota

Two international TV journalists will visit the The Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011 at 6 p.m.

Kira Kay and Jason Maloney will discuss their reporting from Liberia ahead of the country's second presidential election, as well as their experiences in international reporting. Their work in Liberia, which focused on present-day Liberia and its future, resulted in a series of recent reports for PBS NewsHour.

Joining the reporters is a daughter of former Liberian President William R. Tolbert and Dr. Wilhelmina Holder, a public health physician in Minneapolis. The panel will be moderated by Denise Johnson of the Star Tribune.

Event is free for student and Minnesota International Center members; $10 for non-members. Register here.
