Fall 2011 Pioneer Press Practicum

The Fall 2011 Pioneer Press Practicum allows students the chance to work in the classroom next to editors and reporters. Students are sent on assignment by their editors and come away from the class with multiple published clips.

The class, taught by veteran Pioneer Press reporter Gayle "G.G." Golden, offers the students a unique experience while still enrolled in school. The students work approximately 15 hours per week at the Pioneer Press and are compensated for their published work. Chris Ison teaches a similar practicum at the Minneapolis Star Tribune in the spring semester.
