Jane Kirtley, the Silha Professor of Media Ethics and Law, has accepted a position to teach in the University of Notre Dame Law School's London Summer Program in 2012.
The six-week London Summer Program is fully accredited and gives credit for its London courses in the same manner as it does for courses taken on its South Bend campus. The program features seven courses and begins on July 2, 2012.
Kirtley will be teaching Press Freedom in the UK, a course that focuses on gaining an understanding of the legal and social factors influencing freedom of information in the United Kingdom. The course also compares and contrasts media law in the UK and the United States.
