This fall semester, SJMC Associate Professor Dona Schwartz will have her award-winning exhibit In the Kitchen displayed on the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities campus. Opening September 25, the exhibit will run through fall semester and will close in mid-December.
Schwartz's work will be featured in the Appleby Hall Art Gallery in the University of Minnesota's Women's Center. The opening reception will be held September 25, 2012 at noon.
In the Kitchen is a photographic expose of the comings-and-goings of a family's kitchen. Called "wryly horrific" by Joan Rothfuss, curator of the Permanent Collection at the Walker Art Center, Schwartz's exhibit will also be shown this fall in Korea and Spain and was displayed this past summer at the Altered Esthetics Gallery in Minneapolis, Minn.
