Hyejoon Rim To Join Faculty at UMN SJMC

The School of Journalism & Mass Communication is pleased to announce that Hyejoon Rim will join the faculty as an assistant professor in Fall 2013.

HyejoonRim.jpgRim is in the process of completing her Ph.D. in public relations from the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications. Her dissertation focuses on the effects of proactive versus reactive corporate social responsibility and how this affects corporate reputation. She received her M.S. in public relations from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and her M.A. in advertising and public relations from Korea University's School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

Rim's research interests include corporate communication and strategic management of corporate social responsibility, as well as social media and health communication, particularly the media adaptation and behaviors of young adults.

Rim has previous experience in advertising and public relations, including roles at McCann-Erickson Worldwide and InComm Brodeur in Seoul, Korea.
