On May 16, 2013 it was announced that Daniel Gore (B.A. '91) will be the vice president of communications for the University of Minnesota Alumni Association.
Gore officially joins the UMAA staff on June 3 and will oversee the Alumni Association's communications team to strengthen pride, loyalty and engagement among alumni.
Gore has more than 20 years experience in strategic marketing and communications and has a background in large corporations, agencies and nonprofits. Gore is currently director of strategic marketing for E Group, Inc., where he develops and implements digital strategy, develops marketing initiatives for professional and collegiate athletic teams and creates marketing plans for paid and earned media. His previous roles include director of strategic communication for business-to-business at Padilla Speer Beardsley, manager of strategic communication for 3M and director of marketing communication for J. Walter Thompson, among others.
He is heavily involved with SJMC as a past-president of the SJMC Alumni Society Board and an adjunct instructor teaching strategic communication cases courses.
