Each year at the beginning of December we hold a week long Toys for Tots drive throughout campus to collect toys to donate to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. The majority of the toys we receive are donated at a large event held at the end of week. This year we are continuing our founding tradition by celebrating the spirit of giving on December 9, 2009 when the Sigma Alpha Chapter of Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority holds our Annual Toys for Tots Event.
This year we are collaborating with Voices Merging, a very popular and quickly expanding non-profit performing arts organization who will run an Open Mic. where local performers and artists will be able to showcase their talents. We will also have a station for card decorating for the children, which will be donated to the foundation along with the toys.
All proceeds from this event will be donated to Twin Cities Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.
