For just $5 each, students can have all the homemade chili they can eat and participate in activities, such as chili art and a chili-eating contest! This is our annual fund-raiser to support the CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) program, an organization that makes sure that children who have been abused and neglected at home are not forgotten by the U.S. court system or bounced from foster home to foster home. Each year, 50,000 volunteers across America aid over 250,000 children as they move through the court system. In the words of one child, "To give a child a CASA is to give them a voice. To give them a voice is to give them hope. To give them hope is to give them the world." We want to make sure that every child has that voice, so all of the proceeds raised by this event will be donated directly to CASA. For more information about CASA, go to www.nationalcasa.org .
