Final Analysis

Because I don't exactly know how to identify a "computer-assisted" report, I chose a story from Extra! Extra! section of the nicar.org website.

The record in this story comes from a Los Angeles Daily News article. The analysis was also done by the Daily News. The reporter for the Daily News article certainly had to be good with numbers. The article is all about overtime pay for firefighters and a lot of numbers are thrown out there.

As for the nicar.org reporter, the computer skills necessary for his post, if I understand the definition of computer skills correctly, would be the ability to link to a story, as we do all the time for this class. He also had to summarize the story, which he did pretty well. I don't know if he put that "share on Facebook" link in, but if he did, that might require some computer skills as well.
