Tiffee had a chance
Terry Tiffee had a chance today. He had a chance to stay with the team and not be sent to Rochester. Bases loaded, bottom of the 9th, 2 outs, Tiffee enters to pinch hit for Rivas:

Unfortunately, he struck out on a foul tip. If he would have hit a grand slam, gotten a base hit, even if he would have walked, I doubt Gardy would have sent him down.
Sucks to be him.

Yeah sucks to be Tiffee. I'm not sure how hurt Reddy is though, so maybe if he goes down to the DL there may still be room. Tough break, especially seeing how his parents also gave him a name that sounds like a female porn-star's. By the way, where can you find attendance stats for the Twins?

Exactly what I was thinking, however, I expect even with a grandslam he would have been sent down after Redmond got banged up. After all, we do need a guy who can catch for one inning a couple times a week before getting pinch hit for...don't we?

Vince, Terry Tiffee does sound like a porn star's name, doesn't it. How unfortunate. Attendance stats can easily be found on ESPN at http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/teams/schedule?team=min
Roger, yes, maybe he would have been sent down even with a grand slam, but it would have made Gardy's decision that much harder. I expect we'll see Tiffee back pretty soon though. Corky's time is almost up.
