This is a secret message. Not much to say really except if you know what you are doing you can password protect entries, I guess. Don't rush out to do this yourself, though. Some server changes need to be made first.

Here is a citation I retrieved from the database Article First. As you can see, I can easily post it into my blog and even make comments about it. More importantly, I can use the link below to get to the text of the article, whether I'm on campus or off, thanks to my use of a Find It URL.

A handy trick for all you researchers out there: If you find an article you like and want to keep the citation for, and it comes from a Find It enabled database, simply click on the Find It icon and then on "Find It URL generator." From there you can post the citation in the same method I've done below.

Still doesn't work in Safari, though. That will be next on the agenda.
Do you see what I am doing here? I am automatically extracting links from Find It menus and plopping them into my blog. This way I can keep track of citations I find using library databases and indexes or I could even create class reading lists. With Find It links, copyright is taken care of and users will have automatic off campus access. To see this for yourself do a search in a Find It enabled database and click on "Find It URL Generator" when you get to a Find It menu. Follow the instructions from there!
