UMN Sociology Dept - Graduate RA

In the Department of Sociology, University of Minnesota, the Integrated Demographic Health Survey project (PI, Prof. Elizabeth Boyle) invites applications for a half-time graduate research assistant for Fall and Spring 2012-13. The project is creating a system that will allow researchers to combine survey data on dozens of countries from across several decades. (The first phase focuses on Africa, Egypt, and India). The surveys address such topics as fertility, family planning, infant and child mortality, women's status in society, and critical health issues. All graduate students are welcome to apply; a global research focus is a plus. To apply, email Prof. Boyle, who will direct you to the formal application process.
