Jasmine Harris-LaMothe will defend her dissertation, "The Negotiators: Black Professional Women, Success, and the Management of Competing Identities," Fri. August 2, 915 Soc Sci Bldg. The public portion of the defense will be 9:00-9:30 am. Her Advisor is Prof. Phyllis Moen. Darin Mather will defend his dissertation, "Gender Equality in Religious Education: A Comparative Study of Catholic, Evangelical and Secular Private Schools in Guatemala," Mon. Successful Defense - Daniel Winchester

Daniel Winchester successfully defended his dissertation, "Assembling the Orthodox Soul: Practices of Religious Self-Formation among Converts to Eastern Orthodoxy," on July 19. His Advisor is Prof. Penny Edgell. In Fall 2013, Dr. Winchester will begin his career as an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the University of Connecticut. Congratulations, Dr. Winchester!
