Chika Shinohara successfully defended her dissertation, "Equal Employment Opportunity Policies and Attitudes toward Gender-Roles in Japan Since 1985," on Tuesday, July 29, 2008. Her advisors are Liz Boyle and Jeff Broadbent. Chika will begin post-doctoral position in Shanghai in the fall. Congratulations, Chika!

Professor Savelsberg is among a select group of faculty awarded the American Society of Criminology honorary title of "Fellow" in the July/August newsletter, page 32 (The Criminologist).
